So today my guinea pig cookie passed on to the rainbow bridge. I did not want brownie my other guinea pig getting depressed as they where sisters. So I got a new guinea pig she is all brown and her name is chocolate. I held all the guinea pigs at the pet store but she was the best and was happy to sit in my hand. yes she is so small she fits in a single hand. She is two months old. We are having a vet check brownie to make sure she is not sick, because cookie died from being sick. We don't want brownie getting chocolate sick so we are getting her checked. Hi, I wanted to tell you guys about what to feed your guinea pig. When you first get them they will probably be used to pellets so you want to feed them pellets until you can slowly ease them onto veggies which I am doing now. Later in the post I will list some veggies and fruits that they can eat. So its a good idea that when you start to think about getting a guinea pig that, you take the time to get them used to having veggies and fruits. Just start with a little bit of carrot. If they don't seem to like it most guinea pigs don't, or they get sick from it then you might want to try another one like lettuce. they can have veggies like parsley not much at once though, lettuce, bell pepper, wheat grass, cucumber, asparagus, and cilantro. There are many more veggies that I do not know about that they can have.
