My progress so far

I have a space in my room for the cage now I just need to get the cage and build it! I know when you have that problem I have it too! I just have the money to get a cage but not the bottom I was going to put it on the floor but I got a no no to that! So I have to build a table! Yay..... But the good news is then I can have a solid surface under it so then it will be fine I can have the table then puppy pads then the blanket and then the stuff and its a cage! Ok so guys the blog may change now as in instead of posts full of facts I'm going to post my progress. Hint is my blogs name so now it will change but I will still put in facts so you still get info you need to get closer to your new Guinea Pigs! So todays facts are never ever buy a hamster cage for a guinea pig and never a guinea pig cage for a guinea pig! I know your probably like why not a guinea pig cage for a guinea pig? Well they are very costly and small way to small! And the last fact is never get a pet without knowing what to do have the cage set up with all the stuff food, toys, hay, hut with a roof, and a water bottle and don't play with them for a while let them get used to there new home leave them be on the first day. then on the second day sit next to there cage and talk softly to them and when that week has passed you can try petting, hand feeding and maybe picking him or her up! And I recommend you to go watch Little Adventures she has many videos and they are very good with fun footage and fun and helpful facts!  Well I hope I did any help to you in this post have fun! Bye!!!!!!!!

guinea pig Cookies/ Cakes/ pancakes!

I was making Pancakes this morning and though would I be able to make guinea pig safe ones? So I went online and searched some stuff that guinea pigs can have and I got a recipe! So you for two guinea pigs and to each you need about a quarter cup of oats. next you get some carrots and chop them into as small little pieces as you can and then get some veggie of your choice and put in for flavor! Then you should mix that in about 3 table spoons of water and then take out and shape and let dry and there you go! Enjoy and please don't eat them your self! Bye!

Information you may need before you get a guinea pig

Hi this is my first post! I'm doing this to pass the time before I get my guinea pigs! I learned some facts that I want to share with you! So the first one is never buy 1 guinea pig unless you have one at home you are going to bond it with. And 2 is never leave them unattended outside of their cage but they still need time with you on the floor. 3 its best to make your own cage ones from a pet store are too small and very costly for you I recommend to go to guinea pig cages store.com and find there c and c grids they are really cheap they are $ 1.79! 4. Use a fabric that is not rough and does not have a loopy  string texture but no quilting fabric too! Or  you can use substrate or bedding they are the same thing but I really recommend for you to get Care Fresh for bedding or substrate. And finally 5 if your cage has no bottom and its  on the floor use puppy potty pads under your bedding or substrate or fabric! Hope this first post helped you a little more to get the infor...

Diet Planning

Hi, I wanted to tell you guys about what to feed your guinea pig. When you first get them they will probably be used to pellets so you want to feed them pellets until you can slowly ease them onto veggies which I am doing now. Later in the post I will list some veggies and fruits that they can eat. So its a good idea that when you start to think about getting a guinea pig that, you take the time to get them used to having veggies and fruits. Just start with a little bit of carrot. If they don't seem to like it most guinea pigs don't, or they get sick from it then you might want to try another one like lettuce. they can have veggies like parsley not much at once though, lettuce, bell pepper, wheat grass, cucumber, asparagus, and cilantro. There are many more veggies that I do not know about that they can have. Some fruits they can have include strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, apple only small pieces, oranges, avocado with no skin but not much as it is high in fat. So when yo...
